I tried watching it one time and gave up after about the first half hour. Unlike you, I have never cared much for Mary Steenburgen and could never understand why Ted Danson gave up Whoopi Goldberg for her. (The last part of that sentence was a joke) This reminds me of another Christmas movie that I never watched and that also got similar bad reviews. That film would be Prancer.
